Whilst on my recent visit to Guernsey just a short while ago I was fortunate enough to meet a few individuals that were over there preparing for their launch of a new Gin, whilst sat in the hotel bar. They were a good bunch of boys and we ended up spending most of the night discussing football and several other significant subjects.
During one of our conversations they had reason to mention what they were doing over in Guernsey, and that was getting ready for the launch of their new business venture; the launch of Oliver Twist Gin.
No need to mention when I was told this I was quite excited as I had never met anybody before that really owned a gin, and being quite keen on the occasional gin and tonic at the end of a hard days toil. I though I might just as well ask whether they'd a sample with them that I could try.
Fortunately for me they actually did and went and got a bottle from their room that we sat down and polished off before long, and I should say it was such a refreshing gin with a subtle citrus flavor.
I am absolutely sure you can imagine that a good night was had by all, even though our conferences the next day were not really so productive as they could have been.
They were such a decent set of blokes we exchanged numbers and arranged to meet up next time we were all in Guernsey together. One of the fellows even left 2 bottles with the hotel reception in order that I could take some home for my spouse to try.
Obviously she was happy with the exclusive present that I brought her back from my visit to Guernsey, and we are both eagerly awaiting the launch so that we can get some more of it.
