The houses of parliament as it is sometimes known or the palace of Westminster is a popular sight in London due to its size. Before becoming the political building that it is today, the palace was originally used as a residence for royalty. As and when they were required, the palace of Westminster has had additional buildings added to it over the years as the original building became too small for the events it was being used for.

Possibly the most famous sight in London and one of the most visited is Buckingham Palace. Despite Buckingham Palace being the queen's official London residence, areas of the palace are opened daily for tourists to view. However even without entering the palace, the outer view of the palace and its grounds are often enough to leave visitors amazed at its sheer size and the immaculate way in which it is kept.

The London eye has become not only one of the most popular attractions for tourists to experience buy also one of the most famous sights in London.
