Surfing Holidays have been at the forefront of organising surf trips and group surfing holidays to Lanzarote since the mid eighties. The surfing holidays have been attended by a number of the great names in the surfing world. We have had many British and Western european champions along with complete newbs all on our surf trip holidays. The top surf mags like Carve, Wavelength and Bug 360 have had a little taste of "Europe's Hawaii" on our surfing holidays.

The beach break of Famara is the perfect learning ground for beginners and intermediates. We will be able to prepare good schooling with our local surf Guru "Pedro" from Famara Surf. The beach can also provide top flight waves and the outside reef has been ridden at over 30 feet. For the genuine surf gods try "La Santa" which produces some of the finest waves that can rival anything that Hawaii can offer. The holiday is available to singles, couples and groups of all abilities.

Surfing Holidays Works closely with the top surf schools in Famara.

More information on famara:

Famara is a hamlet of fishermen and farmers. It's also got un-doubtledly the biggest beach on the island backed by a 2000-foot mountain range, three off shore islands and a town atmosphere with about 7 restaurants and four supermarkets.

The beach is well used by surfers who come to ride some of the best waves on the island. The mountain is employed by the bold pilots on hang-gliders who soar high above the village for hours at a time only to land often on the beach or in a nearby field. The village of La Caleta is a short ramble across the beach there are hamlet apartmentspainted white on the outside but all totally different on the inside. These are not the common vacation complicated flats but are locally run by the families of Famara.

We are planning the Surf trip for December and dates is booked to be decided soon!!
