There may be some things or places that have made an impression on you leading you to classify them as grand. Real grandeur though is the views you get aboard Grand Canyon helicopter tours. It is one of several rock structures that have formed themselves in shapes associated with temples and shrines that are said to be no less than a billion years old. Sights of the Colorado River and the Black Canyon can also be enjoyed.

Flying over the Vegas Strip is another way to go. This choice will afford views of the Red Rock mountain, Mt. Charleston and the nearby mountainous ranges. There will also be views of the magnificent hotels and resorts in Vegas and gold courses and world-famous pools. The Nellis Air Force Base, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Downtown Las Vegas are other sights that will be enjoyed. Flights will usually be short, starting from 12 to 15 minutes. Flights over the Vegas Strip can be taken by night or day.

Yet another option is coming from the Southwest to catch view of Fortification Hill, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Flights on this route include going down some 3,500 feet into the heart of the mountain. Some tours will also include a landing 300 feet on top of the Colorado River and a sight of Black Canyon on the return journey to the South Las Vegas Valley.

There are more than a few options for Grand Canyon helicopter tours. Be guided by your budget and sights you are most keen on seeing and perhaps photographing. Either way, as long as you are looking out at this amazing place from above, the experience and views are sensational and unforgettable.
